Neep-Neeps are a race of technology obsessed aliens introduced in the 8th edition of Gamma World. They have only begun to appear on Gamma Terra in the time following the Big Mistake, seeking out new technological devices. They seem to operate under slightly different physics which cause complex technology in their presence to go haywire--and their own technology to similarly malfunction in the presence of races from Gamma Terra. It may in fact be this phenomenon which they are so intent on studying and not, in fact, the technology itself.

Real World Referrence

The term "neep-neep" is a real world reference. It is used as a perjorative for anyone whose interest in a computer hobby that they have difficulty not constantly talking about it. Talking about computers at length is also referred to as "neeping".
